Beautiful Home for a Relaxing Family Stay
I have stayed in many different VRBO but this by far was one of the better ones that I have been to with my family. We stayed here for the weekend while waiitng for a cruise out of Galveston. The house is exactly as advertised. It might cost more but has all the upgrades and ammenities we look for in a property.Very clean, comfortable beds, right next to the beach. My only negative comments have nothing to do with the property but being Memorial weekend the wait times for the ferries getting on and off the island were long 45- 1hour. I suggest checking the times on their website. Also I did not enjoy the fact that motor vehicles are allowed on the beach and with so many people out riding around, it flet unsafe for kids to be out at certain times. I realize this is out of the hands of the property owner but thise were just two negative call outs I had from this property. Other than that I would highly recommend this property and would stay here again. Thanks

Thank you Sebastuan for being great guests and I'm so happy you enjoyed your stay at Lafitte's Retreat. Unfortunately I cannot control the ferry boats but yes, the ferry wait times are available online or travelers can avoid the ferries and travel through Winnie from I10. One of the appeals to Crystal Beach is being able to drive golf carts and vehicles to the beach. I'm happy to hear the things I can control like my beach home made your top list of homes you've visited. I strive for my guests to have a relaxing vacation. I hope to see you soon! Laura

Perfect area, even more perfect house!
House was very clean. Had all the essentials. Great setup. Wouldn’t change a thing. So close to the beach. Our family had so much fun at this property. Laura was extremely nice and helpful with a couple questions we had. Thank you do much. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Beautiful, clean home that is a short walk to the beach. My family and I enjoyed our vacation and made many sweet family memories. Highly recommend staying in this home!

This house was even more beautiful in person than in the photos! The house was spotless and we enjoyed all of the beach views from all of the decks! Kids had a blast in the bunk room and the bright and airy kitchen was a natural gathering place! The beach is SO close...such an easy and quick walk there. Laura was very responsive and thorough throughout ! Would rent again!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Lafitte Retreat! The place was sparkling clean and absolutely beautiful. Even with poor weather, we had a wonderful time enjoying the open space, large TV and great Gulf view. Laura was extremely accommodating and thoughtful. She was quick to communicate and helpful every step of the way. She's clearly thought of everything.

Beautiful home and the most comfortable bed I ever slept on! Laura was a wonderful host.
The property was exquisite! It met all of our needs! The owner of the home was always available and returned all of my emails. Wonderful experience!

Beach getaway
The property is as advertised and more. The house is very nice and close to the beach. The decks, beds, outdoor area and location cannot be beat!
